We are happy to announce that the latest version of TiBS is now available.
This latest release of TiBS includes a new threaded tape daemon with configurable buffer controls that can improve write performance to tape by as much as 50% in some configurations. There is also a new drivestats.py script that can dig through the tape logs and easily show historical tape write performance for comparison.
It also includes bug fixes and updates for Auristor and OpenAFS including automation support using a Kerberos principal or cell keys for single and multiple cell environments.
Please note that this will be the final feature release for TiBS 3 as we move our development efforts on to TiBS 4 which will begin beta site testing this spring. We will continue to support version 3 with important bug fixes.
