TiBS client and server support for Linux Distributions
The True incremental Backup System supports a wide variety of Linux distros and Teradactyl will generally port our TiBS client free of charge to production distributions. Current ported distributions include CentOS, Debian, Gentoo, Red Hat, SuSE, and Ubuntu. This is by no means a comprehensive list!
TiBS server components are limited to select distributions due to the complexity of multi-level synthetic backup consolidation and storage sub-system management and control. Currently, Debian, FreeBSD, NetBSD, Red Hat, and Ubuntu distributions are in production as TiBS Backup Servers. Teradactyl strongly supports the Open Source community and has recently added backup server support for NetBSD. If you wish to run a TiBS Backup Server on another platform please contact your technical support representative.
