Compare the True incremental Backup System® Software Versions
The True incremental Backup System employs synthetic backup consolidation in different ways in each version. Version upgrades are designed to permit TiBS backup servers to each support more data while reducing storage space and associated hardware costs. All TiBS versions have no per seat licenses and both disk backup and tape backup storage modules are licensed per TiBS backup server at a flat rate. Storage capacity can be added without additional software license fees being imposed by Teradactyl.
Regardless of which version of the True incremental Backup System you decide to deploy, TiBS provides customers the ability to select from the same choices of operating and network file system backup licenses. TiBS does not have any additional charges to backup servers vs workstations, desktops, or laptops in a licensed platform. No per seat charges apply to all licensed platforms for all licensed versions.
