Teradactyl
LLC. is a 100% US owned and operated small business software engineering
company. We develop state of the art software for backup and disaster
recovery of large distributed processing systems. We hold contracts
with the US Federal Government, Institutions of Higher Learning,
High Performance Computing, and the US Commercial Sector. References
are provided in the Statement of Capabilities and we strongly urge

Teradactyl's
flagship product is the True
incremental Backup System® (TiBS). TiBS is a software
application that employs centralized servers for backup and recovery
of computer systems operating under MacOS, Microsoft® Windows®,
most popular forms of UNIX®, Linux, NFS, Novell (beta), and
both OpenAFS and IBM AFS® (Andrew File System). Our unique
patented technology, TeraMerge®, takes an initial full backup
of the data on a client computer system and then only requires
the transfer of data which is new or has changed since the previous
backup to be sent across the network to the backup server. The
TiBS backup server is capable of merging the incremental backup
volumes with the existing backup data to create multiple lower
level backups, including cumulative incremental and consolidated
full, backup volumes. This multiple level synthetic consolidation
is performed entirely on the backup server without the need for
network intervention. Periodic full and lower level network
backups are not required to maintain expedient restore times.
Our TeraMerge technology significantly reduces the impact of backup
processing on both client computer systems and the network by
eliminating the need for periodic full and lower level network
backups. TeraMerge multi-level
& multi-volume synthetic consolidations provide user control of tape
and/or disk array costs and the
granularity of data revisions in the backup system.

and encourage clients to include all of their systems, including
desktops & laptops, in the backup and disaster recovery infrastructure.
Pricing is determined by selecting
a TiBS version, the
desired operating & network
file systems, amount of processing
power, and a few options such as storage on a robotic
tape library or disk.
Eliminate
per seat charges from your environment and protect all your data.
Our patented technology only
requires the network transfer of changes since the last backup (True
incremental) resulting in very little network overhead associated
with backup operations. This has prompted a leading University Computer
Science Department to begin permitting wireless laptop users to
